Applying for Employment with LDOE

Application Procedures

To Become an Applicant:

  1. You must file a complete application with the Laguna Department of Education. All information requested on the application form should be filled out accurately and completely. "See Resume" will not suffice for any information request.
  2. Please include a cover letter, current resume, and at least 2 to 3 letters of recommendation (current to one year).
    a. If you are an inexperienced teacher, one of those recommendations must be a student-teaching evaluation or recommendation from your cooperating teacher. If you are an experienced teacher, one of those letters must be a recommendation from a recent or current administrator.
  3. You must submit a copy of all up to date unofficial transcripts of college/university credits or request the registrar of your school to send them to the Laguna Department of Education, Attn: Human Resources.
  4. You must submit a copy of your current/valid New Mexico Teaching Licensure.
