August 27, 2009 - the Pueblo of Laguna had two massive water breaks and the Utility Authority for the tribe had to shut down part of the water system leaving much of community without water. As a result, the Laguna Elementary School, Laguna Middle School and Laguna Head Start had to be completely shut down.

The following video shows how Dr. Anthony Fairbanks and his staff handled the "water crisis" and balanced things to ensure that every health and safety measure was in place and that the students not only had access to the school to continue their studies, but also had access to clean drinking water, meals and other necessities.
